What you focus on expands.

If you indulge the fear in your life, it will only grow and consume you.

Fear is itself a virus that has plagued mankind for thousands of years.

Indulging in fear and allowing oneself to spiral into panic is part of what will lower your immune system. We must be vigilant to not allow ourselves to indulge our fear.

Do not let yourself be controlled by whatever media wants you to be afraid of this season.

There will always be something: Corona Virus. SARS. Stock Market crashing. Swine Flu. The current government. Etc.

I am certainly not saying ignore fear, or live in denial of situations that need your attention. We must face them courageously with total awareness and intention.

So what if Corona Virus was an opportunity to put your spirituality into practice and live your meditation? To observe where your attention goes and to be a master of your own mind?

Media wants you to be afraid and whipped into a frenzy of panic.

When the masses are hijacked by fear, it’s then that we can be more easily manipulated with advertising to buy stuff we don’t need and believe things that disempower us.

It’s when we are stuck in fear that we lose touch with our true power and can easily be controlled.

When you by into the fear of society, you give things power over you, and in doing so end up plugging into that reality. It ends up becoming your reality the more you feed it.

What are you feeding?

There is so much in life that is out of your control. But if you allow fear to dictate your actions, you will only remain a prisoner in your mind and end up living a small life.

Of course, in regards to Corona Virus, take precautions. Wash your hands, etc, but this we should be doing anyways!

You can’t control Corona Virus, but you can take responsibility to control building your immune system. And focusing on loving yourself intently is a great place to start.

So when fear arises, ask yourself:

Is it based on reality?

What are the facts?

What is in my control?

Let’s look at some facts:

Corona death worldwide: 3200

Flu deaths in 2019: 34,000 (61,000 in 2018)

U.S. death per year from Heart disease: 647,000

On one of the worst days for Coronavirus in China (February 10, 2020), 108 people died.

But on a given day, globally:

26,283 people die of cancer;

49,041 people die of cardiovascular diseases;

4,383 people die of diabetes.

Meanwhile, suicide takes an average 2,191 lives….

Mosquitoes take the lives of over 2,740 people….

And HUMANS kill an average of 1,287 fellow people, every single day.

And don’t forget the number of people dying daily from not following their dreams: Billions!!

Don’t let Corona Virus, your friends, your parents, or anything for that matter stop you from living your life.

It’s your life.

There are always dangers in life. There will always be dangers.

This is the nature of life.

Nothing is guaranteed but this very moment.

Life is risky.

But to hold back your loving.

Not follow your dreams.

Not wear your favorite outfit waiting for special occasions that never come.

Waiting for some future date to celebrate.

Not speaking your truth, afraid to rock the boat.

This is riskier.

Imagine what kind of world we would live in if:

Martin Luther King didn’t dream.

Greta didn’t speak up.

Gandhi didn’t believe.

Elon Musk didn’t dare.

Mandela didn’t stand up.

Life is precious.

Let’s not waste a single second.

This is it.

Corona Virus or no Corona Virus.

We will all die at some point.

The question is, “How am I going to live?”

Live boldly.

P.S. Please share this with those you love!

I totally agree even tho this virus is a bit more nasty since no one has yet understood how to control or to beat it. It is, however, a great chance to learn new self-loving disciplines and to slow down a bit. Less doing, more feeling, more embodying what we profess and looking at life differently.
Incidentally, I live in Italy and just missed leaving he country by a couple of hours. Now it’s too late. Do I look outside my window and become upset at the deserted streets or do I take the time to really go deep and then deeper inwards? what a great opportunity this is! because, and this is the real truth, no one is ever alone. Just my two cents…..

Thank you, Kute for sharing your valuable and empowering insights! Indeed, it’s always good to research the facts and to take the necessary precautions, out of love and prudence, not out of unconscious and uncontrolled fear.

I agree with the sentiment but it’s important to note that covid has the ability to totally overpower hospitals and health care systems. That’s the threat.

Then those resources are no longer available to help for any kind of health problem.

So live your life, sure, but stay home and live small for awhile.

It’s perhaps the perfect time to slow down
