On a deeper level, I believe that what’s happening now is a wake up call, and we can no longer push the snooze button.

The heartbreaking events of the last week and the senseless killing and police brutality of George Floyd leaves no words. Not to mention the rioting of cities across America.

We are ONE human family, stuck on the same one planet for a lifetime. And either we figure this out together or we self-destruct.

There is no question we must hold the 4 police officers accountable for their actions. There is no excuse for what happened to George Floyd and all those who have been killed unjustly throughout history.

Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Riots are a language of the unheard.“

It’s easy to look at those rioting and swiftly judge. Instead, let us have the humility to begin with seeking to truly understand their pain and perspective.

Let us listen first, feel and find empathy for those that feel so oppressed that they feel the only way they can be heard is to act out.

The intense rage is not an isolated event appearing suddenly but a build up of centuries of accumulated mistreatment and abuse of power.

Let me be clear this does not condone rioting, or looting – this is NOT the answer. But for centuries, powers that be, governments globally and corporations via bailouts, have been “looting” the system for billions of dollars whilst regular folks starve. This takes place worldwide from the US to Africa to Asia.

Everything is interconnected and interdependently affects everything else.

The entire system needs to shift.

This past weekend, thousands gathered in peaceful protest all over America to stand together for justice and truth. This isn’t shown or highlighted by the media.

Instead, what the majority of media intentionally shows only empowers one negative narrative, skillfully creating more division between black/white, and all people.

To be clear, rioting and looting will never lead us to the real resolution long term and holistically. That’s not to mention a lot of information coming out now that violence instigators are paid and actually have nothing to do with the real cause for justice.

Silence never worked, and violence will never.

Martin Luther King said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”

More than ever, we must ALL now step up and vote for Truth and Love in our lives. Not just with words, but with every thought, action, intention we are co-creating our world and future. We must each do whatever it takes to raise our consciousness and evolve.

We can let the outer circumstances determine who we are going to be or we can consciously choose love. Each time we choose negativity, or indulge in reactivity, we reinforce the current reality.

Yes, we can point a finger in blame. We may even be right. This is the easy thing to do. But consider that the level of your reactivity equals the level of your projection.

Our leaders are a mirror manifestation of our own collective consciousness as a whole.

We have to now ask ourselves, “Do I like what I see?”

If not, then ask, “What actions am I committing to take to change the situation?”

Don’t indulge in the drama, as energy flows to the point of your attention. It serves nothing by being a part of the problem.

Instead make a radical commitment to stop indulging in fear, especially your own. It takes the same amount of time to choose love as it does to choose fear.

Love has no opposition.

So either you are being part of the problem or being part of the solution.

Which are you committed to being?

What actions will you take now?

To create change, we must be strategic.

It’s natural to be shocked, feel rage, disgust, fear and in disbelief by the outcome of the last week.

It’s O.K.

Feel the grief, mourn. Feel the anger and rage. We must acknowledge our human feelings. Feel it for yourself, feel it for your fellow black brothers and sisters as well as those of other ethnicities. Feel it for your ancestors that come before you.

To feel it is the only way to heal it within oneself and out in the world. This will indeed take a while for all the centuries of systemic oppression and injustice.

But let’s not stay stuck there perpetuating hate through social media and conversations. We each have a responsibility now to step up, rise above and make our vote count by how we LIVE our lives daily.

I believe that despite how things might seem, we are in a great time of awakening and purification. I have a deeper faith that on a bigger level, we are going through a profound spiritual process for the entire planet.

In order for true healing to happen, our shadow must come to the surface and be transformed. This is a part of the healing process. We have suppressed so much for so long.

But when the darkness comes to light, it won’t be pretty at first, and it’s easy to judge, hate, and condemn it. But this only serves to reinforce it. We must choose to transform it through love and compassion, starting with ourselves.

If you are not sure what you can do, start by looking within and acknowledging your own inner prejudice. Stereotypes you might hold against other races.

Let us look at our own self-hate. In many cultures, due to systematic conditioning, we have learned to hate ourselves for who we are and the color of our own skin.

Let us heal our own inner division. The ultimate being our Ego’s perceived separation from our own Divinity.

Justice will only cure the symptom of racism, but it’s a start. The cure is realization of your true spiritual identity as pure consciousness beyond limited definitions.

As spiritual beings, it’s easy to focus on only light and do a spiritual bypass. But now it’s a time for us all as a humanity to face our shadows and acknowledge our darkness or else it will silently consume us and play itself out, as we are seeing right now.

We are being forced to face our shadow directly now. Those dark parts of ourselves, prejudices, addictions, wounds, issues that lurk in the depths of our psyche that we have tried to hide.

As we do our part to integrate and heal the parts of ourselves that we have disowned, we do our part to raise the consciousness of the entire planet. As a humanity, I believe we can heal and transform into the Jedi warriors we were born to be, but it must be through love.

Every country has its issues. There is no perfect place “out there”. There is no perfection in the world. Perfection lies at the depth of your BEING.

Let us remember that Life is made of interdependent polar opposites. Life contains the whole. It contains duality. It’s the nature of life. Creation/Destruction. Black/White. Yin/Yang. It’s the Tao. It’s not meant to be a Utopia.

So Love doesn’t run away when times get tough. More than ever, the world needs you to courageously step into the world, and bring more conscious awareness, from a place of compassion and love.

You cannot bring real change by going down to the same level of consciousness that created the problem.

Don’t take it from me, look at Mandela leading with his soul after 27 years.

Look at MLK who refuses to take the bait of hate.

Look at Gandhi who said “An eye for an eye only makes the whole world go blind.”

We must be willing to be bigger than those who attack us.

We must rise up. We must.

And respond with love.

Love is not an option. It’s a necessity, and it’s what we are.

Love is not weak.

Love is not passive.

Love may mean protesting peacefully.

Love may mean being strategic and voting more intelligently in the elections.

Love may mean stepping up and leading yourself instead of waiting.

Love might mean calling Minneapolis police attorney office (612) 664-5600.

Love is to sign the “Color of change petition“ to ensure the police officers who murdered George Floyd are charged.

Let us remember that we are on this planet to evolve.

Let us always remember that life itself is love school. And every situation, person, experience is an invitation to love. Yes, some more than others.

These current times are a great opportunity to live your compassion and to put spirituality into practice.

There is no more time to waste. It’s time to elect yourself and give your gifts to the world with a fierce urgency like never before.

So let’s not get so distracted by the circus show that the media spins, that we get sucked into the illusion and forget who we really are.

All experiences in the world are fleeting and transitory, so let us remember, “This too shall pass.”

Let us also remember that the universe has been around a lot longer than you and I. The same Intelligence that birthed the galaxies, sun, moon, and all existence is the same intelligence that’s unfolding everything as it is now.

We may not fully understand with our limited human minds what or why things are happening in a given moment. We must trust that everything is unfolding for our highest good and that of all beings.

And each of us has the responsibility to do our part to be the very change that we seek.

So:

Let us collectively surround our cities with love, especially those where protests and riots have been active.

Let us bless George Floyd’s soul and all those who have died senselessly, and ask for their guidance, peace and forgiveness.

Let us pray for the police, as well as those anarchists who are tearing down cities that their hearts might be filled with Light and healing.

Let us pray and bless our leaders, whether we agree, support or not, to be filled with love, wisdom, spirit of justice and compassion so they can act in the Highest integrity.

Let us unplug from BS media that intentionally tries to hypnotize us with an US vs THEM narrative which only creates division.

Let us make amends with all those we have screwed over, betrayed, mistreated, cheated on, abused. Take action today to rectify the wrongs of your past.

Let us bring forgiveness to those that have Hurt us and mistreated us. And have the courage to meet their attacker with higher wisdom and compassion.

Let us bring deep love and compassion to those parts of ourselves that we hate, judge, self-betray, and dare to love ourselves with deep tenderness.

Let us take time in deep meditation, and from this place of wisdom take effective action to be the change we wish to see, as well as bring about the change we wish to see.

Let us invoke the spirit of the great ones who came before us, like Mandela and MLK, to give us the courage to live love and TRUTH.

Our real work as a humanity is just beginning.

This is the mission we signed up for and reason we were born on planet earth at this unique time in human history.

No more waiting.

No more excuses.

No more projecting.

No more complaining.

The world is waiting for you.
